Hi again, I must say i am a bit worried about the information flow and how Evinrude locally here treats customers. With reference to the above communication I have now learned from the dealer that there was a change late 2015 on the spring (not sure what). I've talked to a few with the same motor and they all have had the same problems. After long discussions they have got this 'new' spring changed by the dealer on warranty. My motor (E150HGLABF - sn. 05439029) have had these problems from day 1. Why do Evinrude make me pay for something that is a warranty issue?? Since our test showed this 12GPH number to be true, then that is a whopping 25% fuel savings in exchange for five to seven mph less in top-end speed.
